Kittitas County, WA -
On Friday, May 25, 2018 at approximately 7:17am, deputies and fire and EMS crews were dispatched to a single vehicle injury rollover accident in the 17000 block of Salmon La Sac Road, north of Ronald.
Two occupants of the vehicle were briefly trapped and fire crews were able to extricate both people. The driver was a 28 year old Burien resident and the passenger was a 27 year old Seattle resident. The wreck caused the Salmon La Sac Road to be temporarily shut down in both directions while fire and EMS crews tended to the occupants. Both occupants were flown to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.
Kittitas County Sheriff's Office deputies worked with the Washington State Patrol to investigate the cause and circumstances of the crash. The initial investigation indicates that excessive speed and alcohol were factors that contributed to the crash.
Please be responsible this Memorial Day weekend, drive carefully and do not drink and drive.
