Kittitas County Approves Updates to Public Health Fee Schedule

Kittitas County, WA - 05/25/2018 - On May 17, 2018 the Kittitas County Board of Health (BOH) and the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved an updated Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD) Fee Schedule and policy for 2018. The changes went into effect on Monday, May 21, 2018.

In addition, changes reflected the fee methodology that was adopted by Kittitas County that aims to achieve full cost recovery for services.  Examples of changes include the following:

  • Policy clarifications around refunds, vaccine fees, off site vaccine clinics, and rounding fees.  For example, previously KCPHD rounded fees up, but rounding will now occur up or down, as appropriate.
  • Removing fees for services that KCPHD no longer provides.
  • Meth lab investigations will change to an hourly fee rather than a set fee.
  • Increase staff in the On-Site Septic program.
  • Living Environment fees (Camps, Parks, and School inspection) will decrease.
  • New metering fee for customers not utilizing the Kittitas County Water Bank.
  • All fees adjusted to cover current and actual costs.
