Payments

Property tax collection for the current year cannot occur until the certification of the roll by the Treasurer's office (with the exception of personal property advance tax and long plat advance tax). At least one-half of the taxes due must be paid or postmarked by April 30th to avoid interest and penalty charges. If the first half is paid on time, the due date for payment of the remainder is October 31st. Taxes in an amount less than fifty dollars are to be paid in full by April 30th.

The Treasurer's office accepts a maximum of two bank-rolled rolls of coin.

Make checks payable to the Kittitas County Treasurer. NSF checks will be assessed a $35.00 fee per Resolution 2024-013.

Missing tax payments: The US Postal Service has informed us that some mail sent to offices in the Kittitas County Courthouse the week of March 24-28 may be lost or missing. If you have not seen your payment posted, please call the Treasurer’s office for assistance.
