Kittitas (pronounced 'KITT-i-tass') County is located in central Washington State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and the Columbia River.
Kittitas County, WA - 09/05/2017 - Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office will be increasing the enforcement of the road closure located on State Route 903 as a result of increased fire personnel and response apparatus in the area.
Only residents who own property or live beyond the road closure will be allowed access beyond the closure point. Residents who require access to their property beyond the SR 903 road closure are asked to work directly with law enforcement personnel located at the closure. However, Kittitas County Emergency Management encourages property owners to stay out of the area, if possible. “As a matter of safety, we ask that even property owners avoid the area unless absolutely necessary,” asserts Undersheriff Clay Myers.
