Kittitas County Public Health Department to Provide Childhood Vaccine Clinics

Kittitas County, WA - 02/19/2025 - The Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD) will begin providing childhood vaccine clinics onsite at 507 N Nanum Street in Ellensburg. The first clinic will be held on February 24th from 8am to 12pm, by appointment only. Childhood vaccines are available for anyone from the age of 6 months through 18 years old (until their 19th birthday). There is no cost for the vaccines or the appointment. Please call 509-962-7515 to schedule an appointment.

KCPHD has access to all childhood vaccines but is limited to current stock at the department.  Please call the front desk to ask about availability.  Appointments for anyone under 18 require a parent or guardian to be present.  Current clinic appointments are available for the following dates:

• March 3, 2025 8am to 12pm
• March 10, 2025 8 am to 12pm
• March 18, 2025 8am to 12pm
• March 31, 2025 8am to 12pm

Vaccines protect babies and children against serious illness.  “We want to support parents and caregivers to get children vaccinated on time,” states Communicable Disease Manager Kate Johnson, RN “and we know that there can be a long wait time for well child exams.   We want kids to be up to date on their vaccines and ready to attend school with the required vaccinations.”
 
Vaccines are a part of a well-child exam, but not the only element.  “We want families to continue to pursue well child exams,” states Ms. Johnson “in addition to examinations with a pediatric provider to track growth and development. Our clinics will only provide vaccinations.”
