Kittitas County, WA - 05/24/2018 - The Kittitas County Clerk’s Office will implement the Odyssey Case Management system effective Monday, June 4, 2018. It is possible that some Court functioning will be impacted during this transition.
Beginning on Wednesday afternoon, May 30th the current Case Management system will be disconnected to allow a smooth conversion of the case data from the old system, Scomis – to the new system, Odyssey. That means that the Clerk’s Office will have reduced computer access to case management data during that limited time. Case management access is expected to be operational on Sunday, June 3rd . Clerk Barschaw went on to report that customer requests for copies will not be impacted by the conversion as the Clerk’s Office is remaining with their current document management system, Laserfiche. “We have all the same options for copies. And don’t forget, we now have the State Digital Archive feature available for our records back to the end of 2015! That service is available 24/7.” The digital archive feature permits the public an additional method to obtain copies of the Kittitas County Superior Court records. Copy fulfillment requests are also handled in-person, by mail, and by telephone during normal business hours at the Clerk’s Office. Val Barschaw, County Clerk, reports that the office is very positive about this conversion. “Our awesome team is ready and able to handle the new software!” reports Barschaw. “We recognize there will be differences that everyone will adjust to, and that some changes will take a little longer than others. For that we just ask that everyone please be patient as we transition to the new system.” Learn more about the Kittitas County Clerk’s Office at: www.co.kittitas.wa.us/clerk The county clerk is one of several independent, elected officials provided by the Washington State Constitution (Article IV, Sec. 26), with specific and special duties assigned by statute, as well as local and state court rules.
