Welcome to Kittitas County Superior Court. Most trials and hearings are open to the public. We encourage our citizens to become more familiar with their courts.

In Washington the Superior Court is the court of general jurisdiction, meaning that the court adjudicates almost all types of controversies including adult felony crimes, civil disputes, dissolutions and family law matters, juvenile offenders, matters involving children, real property disputes, and domestic violence issues.

Kittitas County Superior Court is located on the second floor of the Kittitas County Courthouse at 205 W. 5th Avenue, Ellensburg, Washington 98926. Kittitas County is served by two Superior Court Judges, the Honorable L. Candace Hooper and the Honorable Scott R. Sparks, and a part-time Court Commissioner, James Kirkham.

The Kittitas County Court Administrator's Office handles judicial scheduling and assignments, jury administration, and other matters of the Court.

The Kittitas County Superior Court shall work cooperatively with justice system stakeholders to provide prompt, efficient and quality judicial services, thereby protecting the rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and the laws of the State of Washington and the United States of America.
