The Board of County Commissioner hereby directs that Washington State and United States flags at all County facilities be lowered to half-staff on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in memory of former Superior Court Judge Frances P. Chmelewski who passed away over the weekend.
Frances was first appointed Superior Court Judge in November 2011 by then Governor Christine Gregoire. She won election to the position in November 2012 and served through 2016. Judge Chmelewski was a dedicated public servant and her loss will be felt by the entire County.
Please notify your staff and all offices and facilities around the County.
Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business on Friday, June 15, 2018.
