ELLENSBURG, Wash.— Josh Hink, Kittitas County Fire Marshal, today announced that Kittitas County will lift the burn ban effective September 30, 2017 at 12:00 a.m.
The burn ban was originally implemented based on the following criteria; low moisture content of 1,000 hour fuels, weather conditions and patterns, topography and fuel types within the affected areas. It has become apparent that with the fuel moisture content currently seen in our region and the projected weather patterns, that a burn ban is no longer necessary.
Any questions regarding burning regulations within the unincorporated areas of Kittitas County may be directed to Josh Hink at the County Fire Marshal’s Office.
