Kittitas County Deputies responded to a submerged vehicle in the Roza Dam reservoir on the Yakima River. Kittitas County Sheriff's Office Dive Team found a deceased adult male inside of the submerged vehicle.
At approximately 6:40am on September 19, 2017, Kittitas County Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle that was submerged approximately 300' down stream from the Roza Recreation area boat launch. The Sheriff's Office Dive Team members located a deceased adult male inside the vehicle. They assisted a tow company in the removal of the vehicle. Kittitas County Investigators and the Coroner's office are currently attempting to identify the decedent and will notify the next of kin. Investigators and the Coroner's office will examine the body and process the vehicle to determine the cause and manner of death.
