Notice of public hearing to receive public comments on applying for a 2012 Community Development Block Group Planning-Only grant.
The Board of Kittitas County Commissioners will meet at 2:00pm on November 20, 2012 at the Commissioners' Auditorium, 205 W. 5th, Room 109, Kittitas County Courthouse, Ellensburg, WA. The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from low and moderate income persons and persons residing in the Sunlight Waters neighborhood. Up to $35,000 for a single jurisdiction or $40,000 for a multiple jurisdiction project may be available to Kittitas County to fund a planning project that principally benefits low and moderate income persons. An outline of the proposed Water District No. 7 Plan Update will be available for review at Kittitas County Public Works Department, 411 N. Ruby St., Ellensburg, WA, from November 13, 2012 through November 20, 2012; during weekdays from 8:00am until 5:00pm. Comments may also be submitted in writing to Kittitas County Commissioners Office until November 20, 2012 at 2:00pm. The Commissioners' Auditorium is handicap accessible.
