Notice of public hearing to consider CDBG Public Service Grant
The Board of Kittitas County Commissioners will meet at 2:00 pm on April 17, 2012 at 205 W. 5th Ave. Room 109 Ellensburg, WA to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the State Community Development Block Grant and proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons residing in Kittitas County. Up to $81,246 will be available to Kittitas County and HopeSource to fund public service activities that principally benefit low-and moderate-income persons. An overview of the proposed public services will be available for review at HopeSource 700 E. Mountainview Ave. Ste. 501 Ellensburg, WA during regular business hours. Comments on the county and community action program's past performance and use of their 2011 CDBG Public Services Grant will also be received. Written comments may be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners up until the time of the hearing. The Commissioners Auditorium is handicap accessible. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate special needs, including handicap accessibility or interpreter will be made upon receiving 24-hour advance notice by contacting the Commissioner's office at 509-962-7508.
