Life Safety Inspections
Fire and life safety inspections are one of the most important
activities that a business can promote and are the backbone of fire
prevention in Kittitas County. Studies show that fires in 2006
caused $11.9 billion in direct property damage, which was 88% of
economic fire loss. The other 12% was indirect loss, such as
business interruption, which adds up to $1.6 billion dollars lost in
business interruption due to fires.
Facilities requiring an annual inspection include public
assemblies, businesses, schools, day-care facilities, residential
care facilities, multi-unit residential buildings, nursing homes and
any other business or public building within unincorporated Kittitas
County.
