Two standing committees are assisting in the Critical Areas Ordinance update:
Technical Advisory Committee Citizen Advisory Committee
The public is welcome to attend all committee meetings. Up to ten minutes are provided at the beginning of each committee meeting for public comment. The public is also encouraged to submit written comments.
The purpose of the Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) is to provide assistance in preparing final recommendations on GMA-related critical area goal, policy, and regulation updates. Members of the public may attend CAC meetings and address the Committee with their thoughts and ideas. Up to ten minutes will be provided at the beginning of each meeting for public comment. The public is also encouraged to submit written comments.
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) met throughout 2012 to help focus technical discussions and identify key technical and policy issues associated with the update process. Members of the public were welcomed at TAC meetings and allowed to address the Committee with their thoughts and ideas. The public was also encouraged to submit written comments.
