Report Damages to Primary Residences and Businesses Caused by the January 2009 Flood
Home and business owners who have incurred damages from the recent winter weather are encouraged to file a report with the Kittitas County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) immediately. This data will be used in determining if damages are significant enough to warrant a request for federal disaster assistance and various other forms of assistance.

The Board of County Commissioners met in a special emergency meeting at 11:30 am January 7, 2009 and approved a resolution declaring an emergency due to the flooding conditions in Kittitas County.
Disaster Assistance Homeowners, renters, and business owners affected by the severe storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides from January 6 to January 16, 2009 may be eligible for disaster assistance. To apply, call FEMA toll-free from 8am to 8pm 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585 or register on-line at http://www.disasterassistance.gov.
